EYBA - Update to our Community

Hello East York Baseball Families,

First and foremost, your EYBA executive hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy during these trying and unprecedented times.  We want you to know that we are still planning for the baseball season and preparing for whatever happens. As soon as the city gives us the green light to go back into the parks, we'll be ready to begin the season. Last week in an executive meeting, conducted via Zoom, we put together plans for a wide range of possibilities this year.

Currently the city of Toronto has closed all parks to encourage people to stay home. As the weather hopefully becomes warmer, and the urge to go out becomes stronger, we are also asking that you please stay home and off the fields. There are many skills players can work on the backyard or nearby sidewalk to prepare for the season. We have attached a Self Spring Training Workouts sheet below for those interested.

To our House League registrants, we understand that these times can be overwhelming mentally and financially. If you need to withdraw because of financial considerations, please reach out.

To our Rep and Select families, we're working closely with TBA and 3rd party partners, to alleviate any burdens. We're committed to helping in anyway we can.

To our Sponsors, many of which are small business owners like myself, we understand that these are especially uncertain times so please let us know if we need to change your support for the 2020 season. We appreciate your amazing contributions.

Lastly, I want to send a huge thank you out to everyone. Many of you have helped, and we know will continue to do so, with your kids’ teams. An involved community like ours makes for a fun summer of baseball. Our volunteers have been super supportive and in constant communication with me and the rest of our executive. It takes a village, and East York is one of the best.
