EYBA - COVID-19 Update #3

Update #3 regarding the upcoming baseball season.

Hello East York Baseball Families,
We hope you’re all doing well at home, and maybe playing a little catch in the backyard. We know the physical distancing is going to be tougher as the weather gets nicer and the kids are ready to play outside, but please stay away from the baseball fields. All City of Toronto park facilities, including sports fields, are closed at this time.
We understand that you have questions about the upcoming season, but, like you, we're waiting to see what the next few weeks bring before we make any decisions. We're talking with the OBA, TBA and the City of Toronto, looking for ways to extend baseball beyond the summer. It’s important to us that you get a full season of baseball.
As soon as we get the green light to get back on the field, we’ll be ready. We’ve already ordered the jerseys, so while other leagues are rushing to get their shirts printed, we’ll already have ours in hand.
At this time, we won't be offering season refunds until June 15th. If you wish to withdraw your child prior to May 15th, there is our standard $25 administration fee. If you withdraw after this date, there is a $75 fee, as there is every year. If the season is cancelled, and you've already withdrawn, administration fees will not be refunded.
We know that East York Baseball is about more than playing games. It’s about families coming together at the diamond, watching the players grow, and enjoying each other’s company. It’s an important part of the summer. It’s an important part of your children’s youth. It’s an important part of East York.
Once again, when it’s time to play, we’ll be ready.
