Rescheduling Information for evaluations rained out on May 3rd & May 4th.
Hello EY Baseball Families!
Well, Mother Nature has put her first of many wrinkles into our season and evaluations on May 3rd & 4th.
Sometimes it doesn’t even need to be raining to cause cancellations. Too much rain and soggy fields can still make the fields unplayable the next day, despite a sunny evening. It is very important to note that we have no insurance when the fields are closed.
Your best resources for weather information on a day/evening such as yesterday is the website and twitter. In fact, take a moment right now to follow us on twitter @EastYorkBasebal (only 1 “l”).
We do our best to post timely notifications, but sometimes weather changes & field conditions have us scrambling.
What Happens to the Evaluations Scheduled for May 3?
Here is a breakdown of the rescheduling of tonight’s House League (HL) events:
U8 – Postponed to May 17th
U13 – Postponed to May 10th
U18 – Postponed to May 4th.
All house league players are required to attend one evaluation night prior to being placed on a team.

9U Second Team Select Tryouts
Our Select tryouts and team selection took place in the fall for all teams except our second 9U team. Players must be registered in 8U or 9U to try out for this team. The tryouts are as follows: May 7 @ 12-2pm – Diamond 7 & School Field; & May 8 @ 10am-12pm – Diamond 7 & School Field.
Please see the Select Program Tab on the website for more information about Select Baseball. As it is spring and mother nature doesn’t always play nice, please be sure to check the website and twitter for updates.
Snack Bar
WHOOO HOOO!!! The snack bar is back! It will be open weeknights while House League is on, and on weekends when rep/select games are happening.
The snack bar only accepts CASH, so make sure you bring your loose change along to get a treat!
